Hi everyone!! Top of the Morning to Ya! As you can probably tell I’m writing this letter a few days before St. Patrick’s Day! That to me is a sign that Spring is getting close! As far as I’m concerned, it can’t come soon enough! I wanted to take a moment to recognize one of our local Boy Scouts from Troop 79 here in Somerset. This young man chose to do an Eagle Scout project here at Cumberland Nursing, and we were honored to have him. As you may or may not know, Eagle Scout is the highest rank one can achieve as a Boy Scout. It symbolizes leadership, dedication, and commitment to community service. This Scout, Gabe Perkins, made us 4 beautiful, raised garden beds for our courtyard. Our residents will be able to plant vegetables and flowers in them and they can’t wait to get started. The residents, staff and families from Cumberland Nursing and Rehab send congratulations to Gabe on this high achievement and a big THANK YOU for enriching the lives of our residents. I personally wish him well and know that he will accomplish great things. See you, AND SPRING, next month!
