Hello, Everybody!
Well, I guess winter is upon us! We were very lucky to avoid a major hit of snow like St. Louis or Washington, D.C. got. But I am sure our time will come. I don’t think we will go thru the whole winter months with not much snow at all.
For the residents that go out for appointments and such, I would ask that you bring a coat and shoes to wear outside. Very often we have to send residents to their appointments with just a blanket wrapped around them. I know there is not much need for a coat and things while there are in the facility but when they haven’t been outside for some time, it becomes more important for them to be warm. Often, when they are on the R-Tec bus, they make several stops before their final destination, and the van can get very cold, especially when they are using the lift.
The facility is pleased to announce that we will be working with a new podiatrist, Phase Two Podiatry, Inc., beginning Feb. 1st.
We have begun the process of getting consent from everyone. If your loved one can not sign for approval, please stop by the office on your next visit and sign for them. We will be calling out-of-town families where needed. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us.
Here hoping you stay warm and healthy, and as always, feel free to contact me any time with questions, concerns, and suggestions.
Thanks for listening, and thanks for caring for your loved one
Jill Spurgeon, Administrator
