Cumberland Nursing and Rehab is pleased to honor Wendolyn as May’s Resident of the Month. Wendolyn’s inspiring journey and heartfelt connections with the community have touched the hearts of all who know her. Wendolyn’s childhood memories of growing up on Bobtail 39 in Pulaski County, next to Woodstock, have shaped her love for nature and animals. Her passion for caring for others led her to pursue a career in nursing, graduate from college with her LPN and find pride and purpose at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab. One of Wendolyn’s goals is to improve her mobility so she can visit her daughter, which is a cherished desire that motivates her to work towards greater independence. Despite facing challenges, Wendolyn remains determined and hopeful, resilient and strong on her journey towards recovery. Wendolyn has a love for reading, with her favorite author being Steven King, and playing bingo. She treasures the memories of special moments, such as Elvis’s performance for the residents, which brought joy and laughter to all. As Resident of the Month, Wendolyn expresses her gratitude to the staff, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. She wants them to know their effort never goes unnoticed. Wendolyn’s words of thanks and appreciation serve as a reminder of the impact that kindness and compassion have on creating a supportive and caring environment for all residents. Congratulations, Wendolyn, on being named Resident of the Month. Your strength, positivity, and gratitude inspire us all to strive for our goals, appreciate the beauty of life, and express gratitude for the kindness and support we receive. Thank you for being a shining example of strength and gratitude at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab.
