Happy Fall! As we prepare to fill our bellies with a delicious Thanksgiving meal, it reminds me to stop and think of all the things we are thankful for throughout this past year. I am thankful for the trust of our families as they place their loved ones in our care, I am thankful for our staff that show up day in our day out, often spending more time with their work family than their own, and for our residents who find new ways to bring smiles to our faces each day. Here are a few things our residents at Cumberland say they are thankful for:
“I have been here for six years and am thankful for Cumberland Nursing and Rehab as this place is my home.” -Martha Ricks
“I am thankful for my family at home as well as my family here at the facility. You all are so good to me.” -Pauline Decker
“I am thankful for life.” -Linda Moffitt
“I am thankful for the staff at Cumberland, especially these rehab folks as they have helped me to make a lot of progress in a short amount of time.” -Roger Branscum
“I am thankful for being saved back in 1965.” -Mary Meador
“I am thankful for the ability to walk around and see my family.” -Edna Compton
From our family to yours, we hope everyone has a most enjoyable Thanksgiving.
