Vontrice grew up in Jabez, Russell Co, raised by her loving mother and father. Her life has been rooted in strong family ties and a commitment to hard work. Married since 1967, she and her husband have one daughter. Vontrice worked side by side with her husband on the family farm, mastering demanding tasks such as baling hay, stripping tobacco, and milking cows, a true testament to her strength and dedication. Today, Vontrice brings that same energy to our community. She enjoys every moment here and has several favorite pastimes that keep her busy and creative: quilting, bird watching, painting, and making beautiful jewelry. Her favorite color is red, and she loves stopping to smell the roses in the courtyard. Vontrice’s positive attitude is contagious. She is quick to share her appreciation for the staff, stating that they “take really good care of her” and she is “very thankful to be here.” She loves all the holidays because they mean spending quality time with family and friends. A true fan of our dining room, she says the food is delicious and always cleans her plate! Her current goal is focused on improving her mobility and strength: she hopes to walk more during her time here. Join us in celebrating Vontrice for her wonderful spirit and genuine kindness.
