Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently accepting candy donations for the residents of the facility to pass out to local children at our annual community “Trick or Treat” scheduled for Halloween. The residents line up in a hallway, each with their own bag of candy to hand out, and the children end up leaving with a good amount of candy, from just one visit.
“This is an event that our residents look forward to all year,” says Activity Director Steve Gibson. “They get so excited about all of the unique costumes, and it’s a good opportunity for people from the community to come and visit us.”
If you are interested in donating candy for the event, please bring individually wrapped candy to the activities office and drop it off with Steve Gibson or Jessica Godigkeit. The community trick or treat will be held on October 31st between the hour 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
