We are pleased to spotlight Judy C, our respected Resident of the Month at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab. Judy grew up in the West part of Kentucky in Todd County. She is a devoted mother of four boys. Her first, Byron, holds a special place in her heart as a truck driver and former Marine. Judy’s love for her sons shines through in every conversation, and she considers them the most valuable treasures in her life.
Judy’s infectious positivity and warm spirit have endeared her to the staff and residents at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab. She has formed close bonds with the activities team, particularly enjoying engaging in Braille bingo, hangman, and walking around the facility. Judy’s eyes light up when reminiscing about the unforgettable prom event of 2024, a dream come true for her as she got to experience the joy of dressing up and singing karaoke with her fellow residents. She stated it was a dream come true because she never got to attend her prom.
The unwavering support and care from the dedicated staff at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab have played a key role in making Judy’s everyday life more enjoyable and fulfilling. Their encouragement has empowered her to pursue her long-term goals and dreams with renewed energy and determination. Judy’s advice to staff and residents reflects her resilient spirit – “never give up, focus on the future, and embrace each day with optimism and gratitude.”
Being named Resident of the Month has brought a radiant smile to Judy’s face and a sense of pride and accomplishment. She shines positivity and serves as an inspiration to all who have the pleasure of knowing her. Judy’s unwavering commitment to keep moving forward and never lose sight of her goals is a testament to her strength and stability.
